By establishment and day-to-day activity of a company, it is advisable to hire professional lawyers. Their service is not cheap, but it fastens the whole process significantly. There is also requirement to hire independent auditors’ office. Its name and address must be presented in the registration documents.
Registration of sole trading activity – Enskild Firma- is obligatory. It requires registration in the municipality. The following documents are required: tax forms, certificate about not having any tax arrears. If one attaches also business plan, the whole procedure may be shortened by two weeks.
Depending on the type of activity, some permits or licenses may be necessary.
Partnerships, public limited companies and organizations must be registered in the License Department. It costs ca. 1 700 crowns. A company gets a PRV number.
In the license department one can even buy special sets prepared for company’s establishment. It contains detailed instructions, forms and documents ready to be filled in.
Before registration, disregarding its type, each entrepreneur must file registration form and the VAT card. VAT is given after a month. An application should be sent to the local Revenue Service not later than two weeks before official start of the company. Because of the taxes, Ltd. is the most profitable form of business activity. The law and advising offices have lists of dormant companies. One can buy such company, omitting this way an initial procedure. Name, Board and Statute can be changed after purchase.
